Ohio VDC Program Picks Cumulus

Deployment

Cumulus announced today that the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAAA) has selected the Cumulus platform to support and streamline its Veteran Directed Care (VDC) program serving veterans across Ohio’s Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, and Medina counties.

Veteran Directed Care gives veterans the opportunity to remain living at home and in their communities while directing their own services and supports. Through the program, eligible veterans receive a budget for services and, with guidance from a counselor, hire and manage their own workers to meet their daily needs.

As our Veteran Directed Care program continued to grow, we found that managing information across separate systems and manual processes was creating unnecessary silos and making it harder to scale. Cumulus provides the integrated platform we need to streamline operations, improve oversight, and ensure our team can focus more of their time supporting veterans and their families.

–Tommy York, Director of Business Development at Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging

WRAAA will implement Cumulus to support its end-to-end VDC workflows, including referral processing, care coordination, assessments, development and tracking of spending plans, ongoing case activities, and program oversight. The platform will also support collaboration with the program’s Financial Management Services partner while providing leadership with dashboards and reporting to monitor program performance and outcomes.

Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging has built an impressive Veteran Directed Care program that empowers veterans to live independently while receiving the support they need. We’re honored to partner with their team and help provide the operational infrastructure needed to support continued growth and strong outcomes for veterans across the Cleveland region.

–Tom Laba, Cumulus President

Implementation of the Cumulus VDC platform will provide WRAAA’s team with a streamlined environment for managing veteran referrals, supporting person-centered counseling, and maintaining strong operational oversight as the program continues to expand.
