Iowa Community HUB has selected Cumulus as its new technology platform to support statewide group programming, Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) operations and billing, community care coordination, and additional future Umbrella HUB initiatives.
The implementation will establish a unified platform designed to support evidence-based programming, partner coordination, reporting, billing workflows, and future multi-payer reimbursement models.
The initial implementation will focus on evidence-based workshops and wellness programming, including DPP, with support for participant registration, attendance tracking, outcomes monitoring, Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS)-based claims workflows, and 837/835 electronic data interchange (EDI) billing processes.
Cumulus demonstrated a strong understanding of our operational needs, strategic direction, and the flexibility required to support Iowa Community HUB as we continue to grow and evolve. We were particularly encouraged by Cumulus’ understanding of hub-and-spoke operational models, evidence-based programming, and the evolving reimbursement landscape surrounding Community Care Hubs and Umbrella HUB initiatives.
–Trina Radske-Suchan, President and CEO of Iowa Community HUB
The platform will also position Iowa Community HUB for future expansion of the Umbrella HUB model into additional service lines, supporting HUB-level workflows across a network of community-based partner organizations.
Cumulus will support Iowa Community HUB with workflows for evidence-based workshops and wellness programming, Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) operations and claims-based billing, community care coordination and referrals, partner organization management, reporting and dashboards, future Umbrella HUB workflows and reimbursement models, multi-payer operational support, and public-facing registration and engagement workflows.
Iowa Community HUB has been very thoughtful and strategic throughout this process. Their team has a clear vision for how community-based organizations, evidence-based programming, care coordination, and evolving reimbursement models need to work together operationally. We’re excited to support that vision with a platform designed specifically for Community Care Hubs and partner networks.
–John Byer, CEO of Cumulus Care
Cumulus is increasingly being selected by Community Care Hubs and statewide networks seeking to modernize operations, streamline workflows, improve reporting and billing capabilities, and prepare for more advanced payer and interoperability requirements.
