Cumulus is pleased to announce that Trident Area Agency on Aging has selected Cumulus for Veteran Directed Care (VDC) and Cumulus Enroll to support the continued growth of its Veteran Directed Care program in South Carolina.
Trident Area Agency on Aging, based in the Charleston region, partners with the Ralph H. Johnson VA Health Care System to provide Veteran Directed Care services to veterans and their families. Following the recent restart of the program and growing referral activity, Trident is preparing for expansion through a hub-and-spoke model that will enable collaboration with additional Area Agencies on Aging throughout the state.
Through this partnership, Trident will implement Cumulus for VDC, a purpose-built platform designed specifically for the operational, reporting, and collaboration needs of Veteran Directed Care programs. The platform will support referral management, assessments, spending plans, care coordination, collaboration with Financial Management Services (FMS) partners, reporting, and program oversight.
Trident will also implement Cumulus Enroll, an add-on module that automates the assembly, pre-filling, routing, and electronic signature collection of employer and employee enrollment packets. The solution is designed to reduce paperwork, streamline onboarding, and improve efficiency for program staff, veterans, representatives, caregivers, and FMS partners.
As we prepare for the next phase of growth in our Veteran Directed Care program, we recognized the need for a platform that could help us stay organized, support collaboration, and scale efficiently. What impressed us about Cumulus was its focus on Veteran Directed Care and its ability to support both our current needs and our long-term vision for serving veterans throughout South Carolina.
–Stephanie Blunt, Executive Director of Trident Area Agency on Aging
The implementation will provide a centralized environment for managing referrals, assessments, spending plans, ongoing contacts, enrollment processes, and reporting. The system will support collaboration among Trident staff, partner Area Agencies on Aging, the VA, and Financial Management Services partners while reducing manual processes and duplicative effort.
Veteran Directed Care continues to expand across the country, and organizations like Trident are helping lead the way. We're honored to support Trident as it builds the operational foundation for a scalable hub-and-spoke model that will help increase access to Veteran Directed Care services throughout South Carolina.
–Tom Laba, President of Cumulus Care
The addition of Trident further expands Cumulus' growing national footprint in Veteran Directed Care. Organizations across the country use Cumulus to support VDC operations ranging from local programs to large regional hubs and multi-state super-hub models.
Implementation is expected to begin this summer.
